The Sinaloa state is located in the north region of the Pacific cost. It’s located between the 22• 31' and 26• 56' northh latitude and the 105· 24' and 109· 27' west longitude. It is bounded on the north by the Sonora state, on the east by Chihuahua and Durango states, on the south by Nayarit state, and on the west by the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean. The state capital is Culiacan.

The Port of Mazatlán is located in the city and county of the same name, in the state of Sinaloa, 23º11'20" north latitude and 106º25'20" west latitude. It is founded on an irregular peninsula which shows various rises. It has the second largest natural marine of the world.
